Senator Harek contacts various factions for their support to ban slavery within the Union. He has contacted the Teprogrenaian Consensus, the Federal Republic of Bisidn, the Unified Republic of Darya and the Silver Forests of Remunzia for collaboration. With positive responses from several of them, a meeting in the Starton Hotel where Senator Harek is joined by Senator Danar Tassar and Senator Salixa to discuss. The Astrian Colonial Authority contacted him in paralel about the issue of slavery.
Senator Acehtoo is contacted by the anti-slavery front to find political support, and during the Turn 180 Union Elections, the miomanian senator wins the race for the position of chancellor, against Nehket Aeka.
Senate Discussions
In the last few weeks of the electoral period for Acehtoo, Senator Harek opens a discussion on sentient rights in the senate to discuss sentient rights, including the proposed ban on slavery. The discussion starts off with a large proposal by the Hiocan senator. During this time, Senator Danar Tassar discusses the matter of slavery with Nehket Aeka in hopes of finding a compromise.
After the election of Nehket Aeka as chancellor, during the Turn 200 Union Elections, she promises to move forward with the discussion to find a compromise. A few weeks after the election, she opens a new discussion in the senate purely focussed on finding a compromise on the matter of slavery. During this time, Kachiso Doshima and Nehket Aeka have a private discussion about possible compromises.
The discussion starts off with several union worlds presenting their views on slavery to the senate, and with questions being asked by several of them. Eventually the discussion moves to the topic of finding a compromise. The Veolian Commonwealth proposes several variations of compromises. At the end of the electoral period, Chancellor Nehket Aeka opens a vote on the discussed compromises. The vote ends without a suitable compromise being selected.
During the vote, Senator Salixa announces that the Silver Forests of Remunzia will pursue the matter outside of the senate and outside of the structures of the Union.
